🛫 Airbus doubles down on its bet: expects a market worth 255 billion euros by 2042

In an online press conference in April 2020, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury provided a pragmatic response when questioned about the future of the aerospace industry, stating: "We don't have a crystal ball. I think the most sensible thing right now is to say that we are going to use the next few months to understand how our industry is going to reconfigure." During those weeks, for the first time in history, 99% of the world's fleet was in hangars due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Fast forward 44 months from that press conference, and Airbus has recently announced a doubling of its forecasts for the aircraft market, extending until 2042.
